hodge-podge

another hodge podge of pictures.

we got claire a pair of skinny jeans. and i love em. thankfully she doesnt seem to mind them either :)

shoes. we have started to put some shoes on claire when we are out and about. shes always curious as to trying to figure what they are when they are on her feet; especially since she never wore socks...and she usually keeps them on for a little bit. and then she quickly manages to get them off and use them as toys.

some friends from college came to visit last weekend with their little one levi. in these pics hes about 3 months old and claire is a little over 9 months.

(couldnt resist this second pic, its like they are doing the exact same pose)

this is also how we are greeted when someone wakes up from a nap. so crazy how much she has changed! i was watching some videos of her when she was just learning to roll over and couldnt believe how small she was and how much she has changed!!! shes definitely not a little baby anymore :(

we are having more and more fun feeding her different foods too. here she is with eggs, chocolate chip banana bread and kiwi. any guesses on the one food that was all gone after she was done eating? yup, the one with lots of carbs and chocolate! just like her mama. (thankfully it was sorta healthy, i mean it DID have bananas in it!)

bubbles and sippy cups.

just a few lil random pictures today. nothing too exciting goin on over here. just trying to enjoy the warm weather. turns out claire likes bubbles. and her lil green chair.

and she will try any attempt to get her sippy cup.

she still hasnt really figured out she can drink from it yet though. she gets too distracted by chewing on it instead. oh well.

the evolution of the crawl

before claire i never really stopped to think about many developmental milestones. of course generally babies roll over before they sit up and things like that. but i never thought there would be differences in crawling. i figured crawling meant crawling. hands and knees simple. but to then find out some babies skip crawling and just start walking? what?!?

and then of course theres claire. she started out doing the army crawl/scoot.

and then moved up to regular crawling.

and now she "crawls" on her hands and feet. with her lil butt up in the air. (maybe developing some more muscles before standing on her own?!? who knows.)

but its pretty cute. she can do any and all of these different crawls these days trying to get from point a to point b. too bad we arent sure how to teach her that if she just did one she could become a lot faster. but then again, do we really want her to be faster?! i dunno.
