auntie kenzies birthday

auntie kenzie celebrated her golden birthday on the 21st.
turns out claire sorta stole the show. (sorry auntie kenzie)

after playing with her new sunglasses, claire ate some table food. ive never seen her eat so much at one time. of course we typically dont have the wide variety of  foods available. she tried bites of flatbread with mozzarella and peppers, chicken fettuccine alfredo, french fries, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes and a giant pickle slice. pretty sure the pickle was her favorite. (i think thats everything.)

and after all that eating she was happy to relax by uncle kyle.
(probably because he didnt bring his big dog with)

hodge-podge

another hodge podge of pictures.

we got claire a pair of skinny jeans. and i love em. thankfully she doesnt seem to mind them either :)

shoes. we have started to put some shoes on claire when we are out and about. shes always curious as to trying to figure what they are when they are on her feet; especially since she never wore socks...and she usually keeps them on for a little bit. and then she quickly manages to get them off and use them as toys.

some friends from college came to visit last weekend with their little one levi. in these pics hes about 3 months old and claire is a little over 9 months.

(couldnt resist this second pic, its like they are doing the exact same pose)

this is also how we are greeted when someone wakes up from a nap. so crazy how much she has changed! i was watching some videos of her when she was just learning to roll over and couldnt believe how small she was and how much she has changed!!! shes definitely not a little baby anymore :(

we are having more and more fun feeding her different foods too. here she is with eggs, chocolate chip banana bread and kiwi. any guesses on the one food that was all gone after she was done eating? yup, the one with lots of carbs and chocolate! just like her mama. (thankfully it was sorta healthy, i mean it DID have bananas in it!)

this past weekend i remembered we bought a little roaster pan thingy for claires baptism way back in september. and then i remembered thats the perfect thing to make this delicious-ness:

consider a cake...

seriously. you should consider a cake. or cupcakes. especially from consider a cake.

all that reminiscing about our wedding last year got me craving some more of those delicious cupcakes. after a long internal debate on which flavor to get i settled on snickerdoodle. and after the hubs agreed i went to place an order with megan.

but first i checked out her new website. go ahead, click here. i dare you. and then check out the gallery of pictures. megan can make any sort of design. and its always better than you could have imagined. because shes awesome.

so finally it was time for us to get those cupcakes. as soon as i opened the box i did not want to eat them. why? because they smelled soooo delicious. i honestly was tempted to just keep the cupcakes in the box and open it every now and again to smell them. and then i came back to reality and ate em. after taking a picture of course.

can you say delicious? cuz i can.  honestly, i could have easily eaten about 5 in one sitting. no joke. so in order to not eat them all, we sent some to the hubs work to share. and we decided to freeze some. hopefully these will last longer than the ones last year. but for some reason i doubt it. oh well, guess we'll just have to order some more later.

seriously, this girl rocks. you should definitely consider a cake.  you wont regret it. promise.

our own little pizzeria...

i know its hard to believe but the hubs and i don’t just do new house projects or renovations when we aren’t at work.  we also love to try different recipes. our current love is homemade pizza. now im talkin homemade dough. and fresh mozzarella. and trying different toppings. well i guess i should be honest with you huh? when i say “we” i really mean the hubs does the majority of the work while i supervise :) but i do help cut toppings and i would like to think im a pretty good taste tester if i do say so myself. we have even upgraded (or broken down?!) and got a pizza stone & a pizza peel. the stone definitely helps make the crust more crispy and im told the peel makes it easier to make & transport. check out the hubs in action...
